BUILDING IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN
So many things can be done with a blank 80 foot wide, 9 foot tall retaining wall! For us it’s all about storytelling because that is really what ECAC is – one great story after another. We’ve enlisted a veteran of ECAC projects, architect Ursula Johnson of Ronnie McGhee & Associates, to help us brainstorm and layout ideas for ways our wall can make many connections. What are some of the stories we want to tell?
-
The legacy of the ECAC building as a place to educate women and children since 1863
-
10 years of providing arts, education, civic engagement and social activities to the community
-
The Pleasant Plains community and its rich history and culture
-
Community organizing - how we make our voiced heard
-
In Her Honor – The women our community celebrates each year at our annual gala
-
Sustainability in Practice – ECAC as a environmental model
-
Your support – highlighting the people that helped make this campaign happen
These are big stories, and it’s a big wall. We want you involved in the process – from the design to the implementation. See below for some of the design concepts we are considering.
